Ipsy Glam Bag (April)

I am back with another Ipsy Glam Bag!
Ipsy Glam Bag is a monthly beauty subscription of $10 plus shipping. You will receive around 5 items, full size and trial samples. Here is what came in this months Glam Bag.

Elizabeth Mott Pop! Shadow in Champagne.. retails for $12.99
This color is really pretty, I have worn it the last 3 days and can not get enough of it. You could even use it as a highlighter if you wanted too. Very please with this eyeshadow, easy to apply and does not crease.

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-on eye pencil.  Retails for $20.00
Great eye liner! It applies like a velvet dream! This pencil smudges easily and blends well to create the soft edges for the smokey eye look. I also love that it is a dark matte black, the color payoff is amazing!

On the left is the Urban Decay eye pencil again..on the right is
Starlooks Luscious Longwear Lip Pencil in the shade Naked. Retails for $14.00
Not my favorite color in the world.. I wouldn't say it is a nude color either. To me it is more of a coral color. I wore it today and it applied very smooth and last quite awhile. It also matches the bareMinerals lipstick I recieved in my last months Ipsy Glam Bag so that's a bonus!

The dr. brandt microdermabrasion skin exfoliant retails for $78.00(full size) product in ipsy glam bag is a sample.
I have really dry skin in the winter..I have not been able to find anything to eliminate the dryness. I used this this morning and my skin felt great after using it. Still had the dry skin but it was first day using it. The directions say to use 1 or 2 times a week so I will wait a few days and do it again and see how well it works.

(Pictured in the first photo)

Coastal Scents Medium Eyeshadow brush. $2.49.
I really like this brush high quality and the bristles are very soft.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter/Sunday! If you are interested in joining ipsy click here ipsy

Ulta Haul..

Happy Saturday, the sun is up but still a little on the chilly side.
I purchased a few things from Ulta this past week that I have been interested in and needing.

I seen some reviews on the Butter Glosses from Nyx and thought I would try them out. Great collection, love all the colors and I will be purchasing more! There are 22 color to choose from in the collection all with desert like names.

I purchased the colors Angle Food Cake, is a true mauve and Sugar Cookie is a bright fuchsia , they kind of smell like their titles. They feel really creamy on your lips and have a nice shin and pigment.

Sugar Cookie

(I lost the picture of Angel Food Cake.. I will add it in later today)

NYX Baked Blush in Journey-soft pink. Beautiful light pink sheer color, gives your skin a nice natural glow and can be used to highlight. The top is a bit hard to start with so you may need to a build up the color a little or wet a sponge to apply. Once you get through the surface you will have a better color payoff.

And the cute packaging..love the little bow!

NYX Baked Blush in Journey- I had a hard time taking a picture of this blush.. this is in direct sunlight

NYX Eyeshadow Cake Powder in Blonde includes two eyebrow shades light taupe and ash blonde, wax, slanted brush and a small spooly. I definitely was in need of product for my eyebrows. I was using a light brown eyeshadow but I needed to step up my beauty game and pick up the right products for my eyebrows. I am very pleased with this powder, very easy to apply with the slanted brush. If you are looking for an affordable eyebrow product, I would would definitely recommend the NYX eyeshadow powder.

BareMinerals Frame and Define Brow Styler in Light. I wanted an eyebrow pencil so I can have more of a defined eyebrow look. This pencil works pretty well and blends well with the NYX  Cake Powder.

And lastly I purchased Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow & Mood Boosting Powder in beige.
LOOVE this product.. It gives your skin a wonderful glow, it's smooth and the different color pallet give you a more evened out skin tone.

Physicians Formula: on the left is the pink color from the palette and the right is pretty beige bronzer colors mixed together. (yes goosebumps hehe)

I hope you all enjoy your weekend and Happy Easter!!!!!

Mermaid Hair! Tape In Extensions

Have you heard of the new craze in hair extensions?... Well I guess it isn't so new maybe a few years now. Definitely new to me!

What are tape-in hair extensions: Tape-in hair extensions come in wefts each about 1.5inch wide.  They are pre bonded with special tape adhesive made to adhere to your hair. The protective strip is pulled off and placed on a thin strip of your natural hair then another weft is placed on top to make a sandwich.  The tape-in's last around 3-6 weeks depending on how well the extensions were applied. Your hair will grow normally with the tape-in's, as the hair grows out you will need to have your tape-in's adjusted. To remove the tape-in's you will need tape in bond remover and then new tape-in bonds can be reapplied to the weft and placed back into your hair.

I ordered my extensions from a shop on etsy HairCouturebyHamo. Shop owner Melissa, helped me pick out the color that was the closest match to my hair. I will say that it is hard to order your extensions online, I sent her a picture of my hair to try to match up the extensions. The extensions are a little lighter then I had expected but I wasn't to worried about it. I just lightened my natural hair a little bit. These extensions are 5 star Remy Human Hair Extensions..if you would like to know more about them click on this link to Melissa's shop..https://www.etsy.com/shop/HairCouturebyHamo.

My freaky selfie haha

In this photo you will see a section of my natural hair.. this is because I need more then 40 pieces. I will be ordering at least 10 more this week to fill in the sides..If you have thick hair, make sure you plan on purchasing 50 plus pieces of tape-in extensions to insure full coverage of your extensions.
You can also see the color difference..boo! I will be blending my natural hair in with these better this weekend.

A little note: For best results do not put these in by yourself! I did and it was very hard. You can not see where to place the wefts and is very hard to line up your top weft to make your sandwich. Two things you can do is, go to your hairstylist or have a friend help you out with installing your extensions.

Here is a good video that shows you how to install them.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pjE1pTJp9B0

I did forget to take pictures of them before I installed them in my hair but next time I will.

Hope you enjoyed my post. Please let me know if you have any questions about the tape-in hair extensions.

Have you tried tape-in extensions? What are your thoughts on them?

Beauty and Home Haul

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I know I did! It was gorgeous here in New York. My kids and I did some shopping and even visited the Easter Bunny!

From Avon: left to right bottom pic:

Long Distance Mascara + Serum-- They claim that the lashes look fuller, thicker and healthier using the serum. Apply the serum twice a day to lash line. I used this mascara today and so far I really like it. I am going to keep up on the serum and see what happens, I will give you all an update on it in a few weeks.

Glazedwear Diamonds eye color in Mauved Metal.. (Avon no longer carries this eye color) I really like this color, I usually do not go for cream eyeshadows but this was on sale, I believe for $1.99 so I thought I would try it out. It is a creamy shadow and is easy to apply with the applicator , use your finger or a blending brush to blend the lines in.

Glimmersticks Diamonds Eye Liner in Brown Glow.. Avon glimmersticks eyeliner are one of my favorites, I have them in almost every color. They apply easily and do not smudge. The Brown Glow has a little bit of a shimmer and "diamonds" in it but not too overbearing with shimmer.

Mini Plump Pout Lip Gloss in Berry Plush: When I ordered this lip gloss I did not realize how tiny it was. It is .03oz..teeny tiny little guy, I couldn't believe it! Haha but it is great lip gloss beautiful color. When you apply it to your lips it tingle and are to enhance natural lip color and shape..i love it! Downfall... if you do love this lip gloss they only have it in the mini .03oz, so you may want to buy a few of them because they will not last long and they run about $2.

Avon Sprinkle Nails-- 3D textured nail decorations.. I thought these were super cute and spring appropriate! You can accent one nail or decorate them all with these cute little beads...keep away from children..they look like sprinkles! Hehehehe

Avon Brushed Metals Nail Enamel in Platinum.. My new favorite glitter polish! With just one coat you can cover your nail with an all over glitter coverage! Here I did use two coats..the second coat I used, was a very thin coat. Love this..great for accent nails or designing.

I also picked up while I was grocery shopping Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Lip Balm in Honey, which I am sure you are no stranger too. I have two more colors from this collection but the Honey is definitely my favorite! And the smell of them is just wonderful, it has a fresh minty scent to it. Applies smoothly and last a few hours then leaves a light stain on your lips.

I ordered these replica Rockstud flats on ebay..they are super cute! I have been drooling over all the Valentino Rockstuds but the price of them is way more than I am willing to spend on a pair of shoes.

Bed Bath and Beyond mini Haul

I purchased these sheets for my bed, they were on sale for $14.99

Votives  in Papaya Punch and Tropical Nectar

Passion Fruit Hibiscus and Fresh Berry....LOOOVE the smell of the Passion Fruit Hibiscus. It wasn't until I came home that I realized the Fresh Berry was at the bottom and the Passion Fruit Hibiscus is at the top. Two candles in one!

I also purchased the Samsung Chromebook. I am still getting use to it, it is like a laptop/tablet..make sense..not really. A lot of things I was using my Laptop for I can not do on the Chromebook but overall I will say that I am loving it. It is google based so my Samsung Galaxy phone syncs right with it.

I think that is all from this weekend. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed my little haul!
